In March 2005, the
Friends of Bloomfield Prep conducted a survey of parents. The questionnaire
design, and survey analysis was conducted by a parent who is a member
of the Market Research Society, the governing body of the UK market research
industry, assuring the accuracy and reliability of the results.
The key messages from the survey are highlighted below:
-100% of parents would recommend Bloomfield Prep;
-the three attributes of the school liked most by parents are the small
class sizes, the behaviour/attitudes and demeanour of the pupils, and
the quality of the teachers;
-97% of parents stated that Bloomfield Prep had either met or exceeded
their expectations. This is an excellent result considering that most
parents will have high expectations of a Prep school;
-the after-school club was described as excellent, with a high standard
of care and a fantastic range of facilities and activities.
In addition the survey helped to identify a range of social and fundraising
activities that parents would like to support in the coming year. These
included a spooky fun night and disco for the girls, and a fashion show.
In addition, as a result of parent’s suggestions, the girls made
their own Christmas cards this year, and had them printed up for friends
and family to purchase. This has proved to be a fun activity for the pupils,
the cards were very popular with parents (and grandparents) and it has
been a great fund raiser for the school.
The parents survey has been a great success. It has reconfirmed our belief
that
Bloomfield Prep is a fantastic school, and has helped us to plan events
and
activities that will be well supported by parents and friends of our school. |
