Astoria Pre-school Kindergarten
Astoria Pre-school Kindergarten is run by qualified staff for girls and boys aged 2 years 9 months to 4 years, Monday to Friday
from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.
The first few years are very important in developing a positive attitude to school and to learning. The
combination of small classes and an experienced staff at Astoria Kindergarten creates a friendly, stimulating and secure environment

At Astoria Kindergarten the children are encouraged to concentrate on the task in hand and to behave in a way that benefits the whole community,
to treat others in a way that they would wish to be treated themselves. We offer a wide range of activities including pre-school Gymnastics,
Music, Yoga, French and Top Tots Multi-Skills which are planned around the following ideas:
- Helping children learn how to work and play happily together, to understand and respect themselves and others.
- Creating a happy, caring atmosphere where each child feels confident, secure and is valued as an individual.
- Giving the children a variety of creative experiences including music, craft and art, design technology, drama and movement.
- Encouraging the children to explore the wonders of nature and the world in which they live, past and present.
- Increasing physical co-ordination and co-operation through sport and other activities.
